Information technology has highlighted a very important intrinsic feature of the image on the Shroud: the three dimensional feature.
The fact that some details came out of three dimensional processing precludes any possibility there was a manual contribution to the image formation; as a matter of fact, it is impossible to have included details that, even if invisible to the naked eye, they become visible only after data processing.
Lastly, we want to stress that only the use of information technology tools made it possibile to get the face of Christ if, as it is presumable, the Shroud wrapped his corpse.
Moreover, the information survey of impressions that can be associated to a coin on the right eyelid and on the left eyebrow arch increases the possibility the Shroud is authentic.
Finally, the comparison with the Christ iconography can be related to the hypothesis the Shroud had already been observed before the Middle Ages.
