Turin, 26th April 2010- 400 volunteer doctors and nurses guarantee medical assistance to pilgrims during the all Exposition period. The first-aiders are about 1,500 people. The ambulances are 270 and they have been put at disposal by the Italian Red Cross, Anpas (Public Assistance National Association) and Sovrano Militare Ordine di Malta e dalle Misericordie. Even the local Emergency Service has reinforced its aid stations in the exposition area.
Doctor Sergio Sgambetterra is the coordinator of the medical service, as in the previous expositions.
In the meanwhile, the visits to the Shroud continue. Andrea Comba, President of the CRT Foundation was among Monday afternoon’s pilgrims.
