Many children and university students among the pilgrims








Turin, 19th April 2010 - The mystery of the Shroud appeals the world of football. This morning, different Torino players, like the captain Rolando Bianchi, visited the Shroud with their families and chaplain Aldo Rabino. They have been followed in the afternoon by Milan champion Mathieu Flamini.
Among the pilgrims of the afternoon also Valentino Castellani, mayor of Turin at the time of the fire that in April 1997 partially destroyed the chapel of the Shroud realized by Guarino Guarini. Nicholozi, member of the Orthodox Church of Georgia, who was expected today, because of the European stop to flights, will reach Turin only tomorrow. He will arrive by train from Rome.
 
Also today many groups of pilgrims have arrived to see the Shroud. There have been children from the elementary school Maria Ausiliatrice, 3,000 students of different universities of Milan and about 30 pilgrims from Michigan accompanied by some Consolata Missionary Sisters.
