Turin, 18th April 2010- We are at the end of the first week of the exhibition of the Holy Shroud.  Since Saturday 10^th April till Friday 16^th April, 208,069 pilgrims, who had previously booked their visit, could see the Holy Shroud. Other 68,000 people (locals in particular), without reservation, had the possibility to worship the relic by entering the Dome from the central door.

On Friday, the reservations reached the number of 1.634.668.

Yesterday over 200 young people took part to the White Night and prayed in front of the Shroud beside the Archbishop of Turin Severino Poletto.
This morning, it has been the turn of 4,500 members of the Army (officials and cadets) with their families.

 

Meanwhile, believers from any part of Italy and France, Ukraine, United States and Sri Lanka have arrived in Turin to start for their pilgrimage.
