All the information necessary to reach the Giardini Reali reception point, from where the visit on foot will set off, is provided below, in particular for those arriving from outside Turin.
Arriving by air
From the “Sandro Pertini” airport of Caselle, the city centre and reception point can be reached in two ways.
1) Train+bus
Use the Turin-Ceres railway line that links the “Sandro Pertini” airport of Caselle with the Dora railway station of Turin.
From the Dora station, in addition to the city transport network, passengers can take the DoraFly bus which links the Dora station to the Porta Susa railway station and whose timetable is integrated with that of trains between Turin-Caselle Airport.
To reach the reception point from Porta Susa railway station, take the No. 13 or 56 bus. Visitors can board the buses at the bus stop in front of the station (Piazza XVIII Dicembre), getting off after 3 stops in Piazza Castello.
Fare: one-trip “Trenibus” ticket Euro 3.40, comprising Turin –Caselle Airport (or vice versa), the railway section and use of GTT urban public vehicles for 70 minutes.
2) Buses between Turin – Caselle
Direct bus link between the Airport – city of Turin, stopping at the Porta Susa and Porta Nuova railway stations.
To reach the reception point from Porta Susa railway station, take the No. 13 or 56 buses. Visitors can board the buses at the bus stop in front of the station (Piazza XVIII Dicembre), getting off after 3 stops in Piazza Castello.
To reach the reception point from Porta Nuova railway station, take the No. 4 tram or take a short walk (1,800 m) along Via Roma.
Visitors who decide to travel by tram can board the No. 4 tram at the stop beside the station (in Via Sacchi), getting off after 4 stops at Via Garibaldi. The recommended stop for the return trip is that in Via Milano on the corner with Via Corte d’Appello.
Fare: Euro 5.50, valid only on the Turin – Caselle route
Arriving by train
Visitors arriving by train at the Porta Susa and Porta Nuova stations can reach the reception point using the local public transport network.
To reach the reception point from Porta Susa railway station, take the No. 13 or 56 bus. Visitors can board the buses at the bus stop in front of the station (Piazza XVIII Dicembre), getting off after 3 stops in Piazza Castello.
To reach the reception point from Porta Nuova railway station, take the No 4 tram or take a short walk (1,800 m) along Via Roma. Visitors who decide to travel by tram can board the No. 4 tram at the stop beside the station (in Via Sacchi), getting off after 4 stops at Via Garibaldi. The recommended stop for the return trip is that in Via Milano on the corner with Via Corte d’Appello.
Arriving by car and Park&Ride facilities
Visitors arriving by car from outside the area of Turin can leave their cars at three park&ride parking lots (Caio Mario, Stura and Pellerina) from where they can travel to the reception point via the public transport network.
In addition to free parking, the Park&Ride ticket (special rate of €2/day per person) permits use of the urban public transport network for the entire day.
Park&Ride tickets can be purchased at the Caio Mario, Stura and Pellerina parking lots.
Caio Mario parking lot
The parking lot, open every day 24h/day, is located between Corso Unione Sovietica and Corso Agnelli and provides parking for 694 cars.
It can be reached via the South ring-road (Unione Sovietica exit) coming from the A6 (Turin-Savona); A21 (Turin-Piacenza-Brescia) motorways and from State Roads No. 20-23-29-393.
To reach the Giardini Reali reception point from the park&ride parking lot, take route 4, getting off at the stop in Via XX Settembre on the corner of Via Garibaldi.
Stura parking lot
This parking lot is located on the Northern outskirts of Turin, close to the intersection between Corso Vercelli, Corso Romania and Corso Giulio Cesare. It can be reached from the A4 Turin-Milan and A5 Turin-Aosta (Corso Giulio Cesare exit) motorways and State Roads No. 10-11-590.
Open every day 24h/day, it provides parking for 309 cars.
To reach the Giardini Reali reception point from the park&ride parking lot, take route 4, getting off at the stop in Via San Francesco d’Assisi on the corner of Via Monte di Pietà.
Pellerina parking lot
This parking lot, located in the West area of Turin, can be reached from the North ring-road (Regina Margherita exit). It is open every day 24h/day and provides parking for 500 cars
A shuttle bus service will guarantee connection with the Giardini Reali reception point.
Also, on holidays: Parking lot in front of the Auchan Hypermarket
This parking lot is located on the Northern outskirts of Turin in front of the Auchan Hypermarket in Corso Romania. It can be reached from the A4 Turin-Milan and A5 Turin-Aosta (Corso Giulio Cesare exit) motorways and roads No. 10-11-590. It provides parking for around 1500 cars.
To reach the Giardini Reali reception point from the park&ride parking lot, take route 4, getting off at the stop in Via San Francesco d’Assisi on the corner of Via Monte di Pietà.
Parking lots around the city centre
The reception centre can be reached from the parking lots around the centre via the Star 1 (every day) and Star 2 (from Monday to Friday) lines.
To reach the reception centre, use of the stops in Piazza San Carlo is recommended, subsequently walking around 1 km along Via Roma and the Giardini Reali.
Arriving by camper
Visitors arriving in Turin by camper are directed towards parking areas from which they can reach the reception point for the visit using the urban public transport network.
Five parking lots for campers have been identified with a total of 280 places, divided as follows:
- Pellerina, 50 places
- Ruffini 100 places (This parking will be available starting from April, 21th)
- Piazza d’Armi: 100 places
- Caio Mario: 30 places
- Le Gru (Grugliasco): 50 places
Arriving with tourist buses
Tourist buses will be guided by appropriate signs along the motorway network, at the A4 Turin-Milano, A5 Turin-Aosta motorway exits (arriving from North and North East) and of the ring-road, Regina Margherita exit (for those arriving from the West and South), from which they must reach the first interception area (respectively, STOP1 in Lungo Dora Firenze and STOP1 in Corso Regina Margherita, Pellerina South side lane).
From the STOP1 area, the buses will reach the check-in area in Corso Regina Margherita South lane between Via XX Settembre and Rondò Rivella (STOP2) where a code will be assigned to the vehicle and also the number of the parking lot where to unload passengers.
Following booking of the visit, tourist bus drivers will receive a communication from Turin City Council containing a description of the routes to arrive at the Stop1 and Stop2 points from Motorway intersections.
After unloading their passengers, the buses will move to the peripheral parking areas from which they must depart in order to arrive one hour earlier at point STOP1 - Lungo Dora Firenze, and from where they will be directed towards the loading check-in point (STOP2 – Corso Regio Parco between Lungo Dora Firenze and Corso Regina Margherita) from where they will be directed towards the parking lot to load passengers.
In view of the inevitable environmental impact of the large number of tourist buses expected, Turin City Council has decided to request payment of an “environment contribution”:
· 30 Euros for EURO 2, 3, 4, 5 buses
· 50 Euros for EURO 0 and EURO 1 buses
These contributions will be used for operations to offset environmental impact such as the creation of green areas and the planting of new trees.

The payment must be made at least 10 days before the day of the visit; in case of bookings made less than 10 days before the visit, effect the payment as soon as you receive the booking code.
A copy of the receipt for payment must be showed at the welcome point dedicated to the touristic buses (STOP 1 in Lungo Dora Firenze and STOP1 Pellerina) along with the log-book and the bus category (Euro0, Euro1, Euro2, ...)
The shuttle bus from/to the train stations and Caselle airport to/from the Royal Gardens are exempted from the payment of the “Environmental Ticket”. (You are kindly advised to provide all the information about the booked buses that will access the area of the Royal Gardens in order to identify the exempted buses).
The Municipality of Turin, reaffirming the absence of charge for visiting the Holy Shroud Exhibition, thanks for the visitors’ support to the environmental offsets; this represents a very important need and a great opportunity to reflect and act for the preservation of our planet.

Upgrading of public transport
In view of the consistent flow of visitors expected, the urban public transport service will be upgraded and integrated throughout the entire period of the Ostentation of the Holy Shroud.
The innovations are briefly as follows.
From Monday to Friday
Shuttle bus service linking the Pellerina parking lot and the Giardini Reali with first departure from the Pellerina parking lot at 7 a.m. and last departure from the Giardini Reali at 8.30 p.m. (every Friday and from 17 to 22 May, last departure at 11.30 p.m.).
Saturday and holidays
Upgrading of routes 4 and 13,
Extraordinary management of the Star 1 line (except for 1 and 2 May)
Shuttle bus service linking the Pellerina parking lot and the Giardini Reali with first departure from the Pellerina parking lot at 7 a.m. and last departure from the Giardini Reali at 8.30 p.m. (17 to 22 May, last departure at 11.30 p.m.).
2 May – visit of the Holy Father
Further upgrading of routes 4 and 13
Further upgrading of the shuttle bus linking the Pellerina parking lot and the Giardini Reali with first departure from the Pellerina parking lot at 7 a.m. and last departure from the Giardini Reali at 8.30 p.m..
The routes of public vehicles may be modified on 1 and 2 May according to changes in traffic tied to the visit of the Holy Father.

Other types of tickets can be purchased:
