The exposition begins Sunday, April 19, at 11.00 a.m. with the solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by the Pontificial Custodian of the Shroud Msgr. Cesare Nosiglia, Archbishop of Turin, together with the bishops of Piedmont.
The Mass will be broadcasted live on RAI 1.
Visits to the Shroud will begin in the afternoon of the same day. The opening of bookings will be communicated through this site: www.sindone.org
On Saturday and Sunday, June 20th and 21st you cannot book a visit: the Cathedral is closed in order to accommodate the pilgrimage of young people who have registered for ''Happening degli oratori " on www.turinforyoung.it and Pope Francis’ prayer in front of the Shroud during his visit to Turin. On Wednesday, June 24th, the last day of the exposition, there will be no visits: in the morning the Custodian Msgr. Nosiglia will preside over the closing mass in the Cathedral on the Feast of St. John the Baptist, the Patron Saint of Turin.
During the celebrations it will be possible to enter the Cathedral by the central door, subject to availability of seats.
Timetable for the visit to the Shroud

The path that the faithful should follow to reach the Cathedral and approach the Shroud is 850 meters long and almost completely covered. The reception and access point is in viale dei Partigiani, then the pilgrims cross the Royal Gardens and the new wing of the Royal Palace; a stop is planned in the pavilion of the “prelettura” for the preparation of the viewing of the Shroud (a projection of images with details) before entering the Cathedral, to stop for a few minutes to see the Shroud.
At the end of the route you will find other services such as the official bookshop of the exposition in Piazza Castello on the corner of via Palazzo di città (which also functions as a center for last minute-same day reservations) and the 'penitenzierie', where you can go to confession to take Holy Communion. The penitenzierie are located in the church of Spirito Santo (via Porta Palatina) and in a marquee in Piazza San Giovanni (opposite the Cathedral), the latter has a confessional which is equipped for disabled access.
You must arrive at the reception point 15 minutes before the time indicated on your ticket.
It is obligatory to read carefully and follow the safety instructions that will be communicated to visitors.
