Anonymous master
Various painters whose names are not known, the majoritiy of whom belong to the late medieval times, are called "Masster" following the comparison of their styles which enables to group a number of their works. This name is usually specified by the theme of the painting considered to be the most famous (that's the case with our author) or even by the city where the painter had workcd. (e g. Maestro di Anversa).
