The historical chronicles of the time report Andrejs fervour in the observance of fasting and monastic rules. Thanks to this, he obtained special divine favours. Russian church beatified him since then, and posed his icon of the Trinity as a model for the artists to imitate. He was proclaimed saint in occasion of the celebrations of the millenary of Russia baptism (1988). The prayer that was written for the occasion says: St. Andrew you preached to the whole world the unity of sacred trinity through your icon of the Holy Trinity.
