The hands
The right hand asking for silence with a solen gesture reveals the mistery of God - Trinity (thumb, ring and small finger united together) and the perfect union of the human and the divine nature in Jesus (middle and forefinger side by side).
The left hand is holding the gospel which is announcing in Greek and Latin to the whole cosmos (four fingers can he seen) that He is "the light of the cosmos".
